Next weekend is the 17th annual Bear on the Square Mountain Festival, a highly entertaining and lively weekend of music and art
held in and around Dahlonega’s Historic Public Square.
Pre-festival events will occur on Friday, April 19, with the beginning of jamming on the Historic Public Square and the Live Country Auction that night.
On Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, there will be free admission on-stage performances by local, regional, and national musicians throughout the day in the MainStage Tent across from Hancock Park with a heavy emphasis on bluegrass and old-time music from the Southern Appalachian region.
A juried Artist Marketplace on the square, Saturday and Sunday, features traditional mountain crafts, and there will also be a Country Store at Hancock Park. More jamming on the square and music workshops on Saturday and Sunday, a Sunday morning Gospel Jam, a Saturday evening old-time Mountain Dance, a Saturday Open Mic event, kids activities, and food complete the offerings.

This February 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, and 25th-26th, the Three Sisters Vineyard will combine chocolate and wines in a special tasting line-up. No reservations are required for the walk-up $20 per person tastings. However, the special $35 per person private tasting/seating in the winery will require advance ticket purchase, with limited seating. - Wolf Mountain Vineyard invites couples to its Valentine Celebration Weekend. Saturday, February 11th at 7 p.m. will be the Valentine Gourmet dinner with a six course meal with wine pairings. The dinner is $80 per person, all-inclusive. The Vineyard is also having a Valentine Sunday Brunch with seatings at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on February 12th.
