Dahlonega’s 2015 Wine Trail Weekend 8/22-23

Come stay with us and enjoy a Leisurely Weekend of Wine Tasting at  Dahlonega’s Wine Trail Weekend August 22-23.

This special event weekend will begin Saturday, August 22nd from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm and continueEventPhotoFull_Wine Trail Logo Sunday, August 23rd from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm.

Wine Trail event passports are $30 per person including a Souvenir Glass (for the first 1,200 people). The passport is good for the weekend of August 22 & 23 for one visit to each of the five wineries. Ticket stubs in the passport are redeemable at each winery for free tastings.

Participating wineries include Three Sisters, Montaluce, Cavender Creek, Wolf Mountain and Frogtown.The local tasting rooms in downtown Dahlonega will also offering discounts and specials for passport holders.

Passports are available, and wine trail patrons are encouraged to begin the event, at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Center located on the historic square in downtown Dahlonega.

Wine Highway Weekends in March 2015

Come stay with us and attend the Wine Highway Weekend.

The Winegrowers Association of Georgia is holding their Annual Spring Wine Highway Weekends March 21 & 22, and March 28th & 29th 2015.

georgiawinehighwayweekendThis year will be their biggest event with 18 members participating. In Dahlonega Montaluce and Cavender Creek Wineries will participate. There are also any more wineries in neighboring White County that will also be a part of the event.

If you have not participated before, you pay your admission fee ($40.00/person) at any of the participating wineries. You will receive a souvenir glass and Passport that you will take to each winery you visit.  Your admission allows you access to all participating wineries over both weekends so you can take your time and enjoy the experience.

Dahlonega Wine Walk

Come and stay with us and visit the wine tasting rooms in downtown Dahlonega. Purchase aWine_Walk_Passport_Logo passport to try all the tasting rooms for one price.

The Wine Tasting Passport includes wine tastings at five downtown tasting rooms, all within walking distance of each other. The Dahlonega Wine Walk is a self-paced, self-guided walk. Tasting Rooms include Canvas & Cork, Dahlonega Tasting Room, Folkways Craft Gallery & Cottage Vineyard Tasting Room, Georgia Winery of Dahlonega Tasting Room, and Naturally Georgia.

Wine Walk Passports are available at the Dahlonega Visitors Center located at 13 South Park Street for the cost of $25 per passport (a savings of $15 if done separately). This passport is good for 4 tastings at each of the 5 wine tasting rooms all in Historic Downtown Dahlonega featuring Georgia Farm Winery Wines. The passport is good for a year after purchase, so they you can always come back and visit again!

Winery Trail Run 12/13/2014

Come stay with us and attend “It’s a RUNderful Life” 3/6k trail run (walkers welcome!) on 12/13/2014,runderful life at beautiful Montaluce Winery & Estates in the scenic north Georgia Mountains!

The race will begin at 9:00 AM, rain or shine. Montaluce Winery & Estates is a beautiful vineyard, tasting room and restaurant specializing in organic, fresh, seasonal food, most of which comes from their own property.

Choose your distance and run (or walk) either the 3k or 6k trail through the rolling hills on Montaluce’s property alongside the Etowah River, just east of Dahlonega, Georgia.

This race also has a brunch buffet option with registration ($12 for race participants, $15 for guests).

Come and experience great running, food and wine!

Packet pickup is Friday, December 12 from 11am to 6pm. Shirts are guaranteed until 12/1/2014 so register early!

Following the success of the late summer / pre-harvest 2013 DWT last August, the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber & Visitors Bureau, along with Dahlonega’s five unique Wineries, will host the 3rd Annual “Dahlonega Wine Trail” (DWT) weekend passport event. The experience will begin Saturday, August 16th at 12:00pm Noon – 5:00 pm and continue Sunday, August 17th from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Visitors can enjoy weekend-long festivities at Dahlonega’s award-winning wineries and beautiful vineyards for one price.

How It Works

Passports are available, and wine trail patrons are encouraged to begin the trail event, at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Center in downtown Dahlonega (13 South Park Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533) – come get your passport to the wine trail with maps, visitor guides, and other helpful information.

How Can I Purchase My Passport?

Pre-purchase your Passport at dahlonega.org or the day of the event! After purchasing, you must pick up your Passport at the Dahlonega Visitors Center during the following hours:

Thursday, August 14, 9am – 5:30pm
Friday, August 15, 9am – 5:30pm
Saturday, August 16, 9am – 5:30pm
Sunday, August 17, 10am – 5:00pm

Special Note: Thursday Online Purchases will not be available for early pickup until Friday due to processing

No refunds. Must present photo ID to pick up. The legal drinking age in Georgia is 21.

Dahlonega Wine Tastings During the Winter Holidays

Several of Dahlonega’s wineries have closed for the winter season and will not open until February, but don’t despair!wine You can visit us at the inn for a getaway and enjoy Georgia wine at the following venues during the holidays:

Montaluce will be open (10 1/2 miles away), Frogtown will be open (8 1/2 miles away), and so will Cavendar Creek (6 miles away). We also have four tasting rooms within 4 blocks of each other downtown. Bleu Gallery features Tiger Wines (Tiger, GA), Folkways Gallery features Cottage Vineyard wines (Cleveland, GA), Dahlonega Tasting Room features Habersham wines (Helen, GA), and a tasting room in the Carriage House features Georgia wines.

The event will begin Saturday, August 17th at 12:00pm Noon – 5:00 pm and continue  Sunday, August 18th from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm.

The Dahlonega Wine Trail will use passports for admission. Cost is $25 per person which includes a Souvenir Glass and is valid for August 17 & 18 for one visit to each winery. Ticket stubs in the passport are redeemable at each winery for free tastings.

Wine trail patrons are encouraged to begin the event at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Center in downtown Dahlonega, 13 South Park Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533.  There you can purchase the  Wine Trail passport with maps to the participating wineries.

You may purchase your passport online now at the Chamber web site, http://www.dahlonega.org. Pick-up your passport at Will Call at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Center on Saturday, August 17th between 9:00am – 5:30pm and Sunday, August 18th between 10:00am – 5:00pm. No refunds. Must present photo ID to pick up.
