The Christmas holidays are always a special time of year in Dahlonega, Georgia. The historic downtown square is lit with thousands of lights and the quaint stores are decorated. Santa is there as well and everyone is in a festive mood.
Start your Christmas season Thanksgiving day by watching “Christmas in Homestead” on the Hallmark channel. The movie was filmed in Dahlonega this fall and the town was in full Christmas regalia.
The official tree lighting celebration on the square will be Friday night, November 25th. The lights will be up all month in December through New Years. Come and listen to the special musical events that will be offered or attend the small town Christmas parade.
We will have our yurts available Christmas eve and day but will close the rooms so that we can share the holidays with our family.
For a full schedule of the holiday activities starting in November visit event schedule.
We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
